Good morning,
I hope everyone has had enough of the rain this week.
This week's report will be a short one. We have been busy around the Sheriff's Office completing some remodeling here in our offices. Deputies have been busy this week working on several accidents, three involving tractor-trailers. Fortunately, there were no major injuries in either accident. However, it usually takes several hours to work these accidents from start to finish. I want to recognize Captain Keith Axsom and Major Mike Foster who worked one of these accidents in the pouring rain and hailstorm. They were on the scene for over three hours, along with the Arkansas State Police.
We assisted Fordyce Police Department in the serving of a search warrant within the city. Two people were arrested in connection to this warrant. The warrant was issued after an affidavit was filed concerning an assault and robbery. Money was recovered during the search of the residence.
I need to ask everyone for prayers for Mr. Rucker. He had a medical procedure this week and is on the road to recovery. I'm happy to report he came by the office for a few minutes and seems to be doing well. He has been sorely missed this week!
