Good morning,
It's beginning to feel like fall in the mornings this week. I for one, am ready for it. Hopefully, the scorching temperatures are in the rearview mirror.
I want to begin this morning by mentioning Sawmill Days which will take place in Sparkman on Saturday the 28th. There will be vendors and a parade that starts at 12:00. I want to welcome everyone to come out and experience a fun, family-oriented event. I will be in attendance and look forward to seeing everyone!
I answered several calls on Monday while deputies attended court. Most of the calls consisted of domestic issues that were resolved fairly quickly. Captain Axsom has worked closely with our local animal rescues on a dog dumping case. A couple of people were interviewed, and the situation has been resolved.
Mr. Rucker and his crew have been hard at it again this week. On Monday, he and his crew moved tables from Zion Church to the Civic Center for a function. Tuesday trash was picked up on Highway 229 from Carthage to Zion Baptist Church. They returned the tables back from the Civic Center to the church. The rest of the week was spent mowing at the Detention Center, Senior Citizens Center, Office of Emergency Services, and the Department of Health building.
Now, on to Felony Friday:
