I wanted to let everyone know the Shop with a Cop account is open at Fordyce Bank & Trust. You can go in and ask any teller that you wish to donate to the program.
This will be the second annual Shop with a Cop event for the Dallas County Sheriff's Office. Any amount you may be able to donate will be greatly appreciated. Last year we raised almost $7000.00 to help buy gifts for 20 children who may otherwise have nothing under the tree.
We will divide the donations equally and take each child to Walmart to pick out what they may want or need for Christmas. This may be anything from toys to clothes.
I have already had families contact me to participate in the program this year. We will pick a date closer to Christmas and will notify those chosen to participate. I will be working closely with Fordyce Schools to help in the selection process.
I want to thank everyone in advance for your donations in helping assist these families that may be struggling during the holidays.
