SHERIFF MIKE KNOEDL - WEEKLY UPDATE

Good afternoon,

I hope everyone has had a great week! I'm bringing your weekly report a day early this week due to my being out of the office tomorrow.

Well, it wasn't long ago I was wishing all of the rain away. Now I'm afraid it's going to get dry enough that the fish will have ticks on them. Seriously, be sure to stay hydrated if you're going to be outside in this heat.

I'll start with Mr. Rucker and his crew's report. Everyone should notice that most of our state Highways have been picked up in Dallas County. Many of our county roads are litter free now as well. This week was focused on doing some much-needed maintenance here at our detention facility. The sallyport and kitchen have been power washed and looking good. We continue to mow at the senior citizen center, detention facility, and the old post office (OEM).

I failed to mention in my last report I had the Honor of escorting two busloads of soldiers through Dallas County to the Grant County line. These brave young men are headed to Kuwait from the National Guard unit in Camden.

Let's move on to Felony Friday, or Trouble Thursday, in this case:

We currently have 120 inmates in our detention facility.

My department has been working hard and we have arrested the following individuals since last Friday's post:

Brian Ballance, of Fordyce, on a Felony Bench Warrant

Michael Stone, of North Little Rock, Parole Absconder

Antonio Davis, of Rison, Parole Warrant and Dallas County charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Fleeing

Tyrone Harris, of Fordyce, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Braxton Green, of Fordyce, Possession of a Controlled Substance

Eddie Lee Chriswell, of Fordyce, Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, Harassing Communications, Aggravated Assault

Tommy Harris, of Fordyce, Contempt, and Failure to Pay

Daniel Harrison, of Carthage, Domestic Battery 3rd Degree

We have been working with the Fordyce Police Department on mutual cases and I am proud of the working relationship we have with that department.

All calls have been answered in a timely manner. We appreciate your continued support!

Have a great weekend!

God Bless,

Sheriff Mike Knoedl
