Good afternoon,
I hope everyone had a good week!
Business has been good this week for the Sheriff's Office. I'm happy to report several more drug arrests have been made this week. I promised the voters that drugs in our county would be one of my top priorities. It goes without saying that most other crimes can be directly related to drug sales/use. Below is a list of suspects arrested for drugs just this week.
*Jim Phelps of Sparkman - 14 Grams Meth
*Bradley Quarels of Thornton - 2.5 Grams Meth
*Jerome Thompson of Bearden - 24 Grams Meth, 44 pills, Hydros, Oxycontin, Xanax. $729.00 cash seized.
*Ratonya Ross of Fordyce - Warrant served for the Arkansas State Police for possession of a controlled substance. (Cocaine)
*Lonny Caldwell of Fordyce - Arrested on a felony warrant out of Missouri for rape.
* Jesshario Jacobs - Felony warrant served for terroristic threatening for Fordyce Police Department.
* Nicole White of Fordyce - Arrest for absconding
23 inmates were booked in and 19 were released or bonded out.
Mr. Rucker and his crew continue assisting the county with trash pickup and clearing brush from road ditches. He and his crew picked up highway 229 north from Carthage to the Grant County line.
All deputies completed training this week, along with Grant and Calhoun Counties on the deployment of spike strips during a pursuit.
All calls continue to be answered in a timely manner.
Please be vigilant and watch the weather this afternoon again.
Sincerely,
Sheriff Mike Knoedl
